Westerville, OH -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/06/2016 -- The World Health Organization has recently expressed its great concern with regards to the increasing number of teens and young adults who are susceptible to develop hearing loss. It cannot be denied that the ears are an invaluable part of the body that if a person has an impaired hearing, it would greatly affect their work performance as well as their relationship with their family and friends.

The risk for the development of hearing loss on teens and young adults due to excessive noise has increased by 30% over the past years. Also, it was found that exposure to 100 decibels noise level to no more than 15 minutes is found to be safe, but beyond that could be damaging to the ears.

This campaign was launched by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders in aims to give the advice to prevent hearing loss and also to educate the parents with the importance of protecting their children's ears.

For the NIDCD deputy director Melissa McGowan, parents can protect their children's hearing by ensuring that their children are listening to low volume sounds, and are wearing ear protectors like earplugs and earmuffs. Conventional automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are computer-controlled mobile carriers that move through factories carrying and delivering parts and materials, following buried wires, tape or laser along a preset route.
